Still the annoying bug in software update is present in this version. Opened a case with Apple. The issue is update stuck in 15 min remaining and you should boot in safe mode to do the update. Annoying part is if you already enabled firmware password, then you must disable it to let you boot in safe mode. Grrrrrrrr

Okay, since we are already on macOS 11.2.1, I wonder if macOS is now on a numbering scheme that is similar to iOS and watchOS đ€ Since it used to be like 10.15 in 2019, 10.14 in 2018, 10.13 in 2017, etc, naturally I was thinking macOS 11 would follow that pattern of 11.0 in 2020, 11.1 in 2021, 11.2 in 2022, but now we are on 11.2.1 already, which makes me wonder if it's gonna be macOS 12 in 2021, macOS 13, in 2022, macOS 14 in 2023 etc. etc. etc.

So Apple only mentions battery help and security repair issues on this update. Hmmm. I'm surprised Apple made no mention that this update made major improvements for boot time and reduced the constant crash behavior with every single reboot of my 2018 Mac Mini. Every restart used to trigger an error after a painfully long boot sequence, and now it boots faster with no errors on reboot. Since the update I have had one random crash while editing video in Screenflow, but because Screenflow is so well designed with auto-save capabilities, I didn't lose anything. I do have some ongoing lagging mouse behavior with my Apple Magic Mouse, but that's about it.

After updating to 11.2.1, I now have the problem of getting âdisk not ejected properlyâ errors for my external SSD drive whenever I wake from sleep. [M1 Mac mini] Since a few days of research makes it apparent that this problem has existed for years over several versions of the OS, and solutions seem more a matter of chance than any sort of targeted correction coming from Apple or repeatable steps from the user side, and since I donât want to risk corrupting my files by random disconnections [not to mention the fact that if I DO deliberately eject my disc before going to sleep but leave it connected, on occasion the computer seems to be remounting it WHILE ITâS ASLEEP - potentially leading to more disconnections], could you tell me if simply leaving the computer on and only sleeping the display would be fundamentally different with an M1 chip in a desktop unit then actually putting the computer to sleep. I would assume given the M1, but the power draw must be quite low if itâs not doing anything, but are there maintenance tasks or any other things that are only done while the computer is asleep rather than when it is simply idle? The most important thing happening in this update for me, was the very very annoying slow Safari browser, especially Facebook. Also I noticed Numbers opening big sheets faster, but... im very disappointed that Message still takes forever to load, WTF apple? Right after the update the improvement was an almost instant load and performance, not only on FB, but all other internet surfs đ

Hey zollotech looking for a bit of advice here! I upgraded to 11.1 my MBP 13" 2017/3 ports couple of weeks ago but I noticed some sort of cut image in the dock menu with icon apps like WhatsApp or some delay opening safari before charging my favourites. Will you suggest to do a clean slate macOS 11.1 installation? I'm not a expert but did it before with Yosemite, any suggestions?? Cheers and sorry for the question may be you can help me on this one!

The Apple music still have a problem since last one updat: Try to add any Beatles Album that has video content. Then goes to that video content from the Album library list form the left side, play the video. It will ruin the screen. It happened to both my iMac and Macbook Pro. But the video is ok if you plat from Apple Music not from your Album Library.

I notice that the macOS battery gauge is now delinked from the actual battery gauge. Especially at the top end (>80%). Had it charging, macOS showing 100%, while coconutBattery showed it as 88%. Now the next day, using the battery, from 100% to 89%; macOS shows it as 94%.

Is anyone else having issues connecting bluetooth gaming controllers (Dualshock, Xbox, third party) to their M1 macs? I can get my controllers to sync to the devices list, but they don't show up in game. I'm not sure if this is on the OS side (and can be fixed with a Big Sur update) or if it's something that each game platform is going to have to fix for the new hardware.

Did it solve the battery issue for older macs? I'm using Macbook air 2017, i goes up to 7 hours of battery on normal use on Catalina, where it was reduced to 3.5 hours on MacSur. So I reverted back to Catalina from SUR.

@UlaĆ AkdoÄan It's the video process, if you see it on your own screen 60hz its going to he not smooth. Meanwhile frame rate and refresh rate is different. Say if you have 75hz monitor or 100+hz monitor then you're going to have smooth experience on the cursor and other thing but even if you have 75hz+ monitor and you record your screen at 24 fps then its not going to be smooth either on the playback. it's basically a frame rate rules on video, for detail you can google that up.

Hello. If you installed the last update of macOS 11.2 it should have addressed bluetooth issues. If not, then hopefully a future update does. I noticed bluetooth was significantly better after 11.2
